This is an exciting time for ASOS as we re-design the way we create content for our social audience. Reporting into the Social Content Lead you will be working alongside another Senior Social Manager (responsible for our campaign output) and together you will be a responsible for providing fashion inspiration and generating brand love to fashion lovers through our social channels.

The Details

  • Develop bespoke social media plans/ franchises to begin to seed familiarity within our content to our consumers
  • Retain focus on entertainment-first culture: creative reviews, knowledge sharing, trial new tools and techniques, review of performance (Inc. competitors).
  • Work collaboratively with the social creative studio to deliver world class, highly innovative and inherently social content that is entertainment first but speaks to fashion authority
  • Ensure that our ASOS tone of voice is adhered to and that editorial feedback through social strategy is given to ensure ASOSevolves with the audience and is sympathetic to any given social movement. Community management through CC also key here
  • Champion a culture of planning content and distribution in relation to audiences, ensuring we always give our content the best possible chance of connecting with people
  • Lead/ deliver the global social strategy, alongside the Head of Social/ Social lead and Senior Social Manager (campaigns)and work with your direct team on the planning and execution of all social content
  • Champion social first creative throughout marketing, creative and the rest of the business. Inspiring the teams by consistently showcasing what great social looks like through sharing other brands and creators content.
  • Work with key stakeholders in the Marketing function to ensure content is aligned to commercial and cultural calendars to ensure ASOS has a perceived focus supporting the business at any one time whilst also gatekeeping social channels and inventory
  • Help champion a culture of optimisation; sharing learnings from activities (both good and bad) and working with the Social Analytics team, Marketing and the Social leadership team to ensure the right KPIs and targets are in place.
  • Support with the output of our community management team (within CC) to further increase brand love
  • Adopt a test and learn approach, understanding at which point something should be rolled out more broadly and at which point it should be abandoned.
  • Keep the rest of the team up to date with beta and partnership opportunities with the social platforms.
  • Support and develop the careers of your direct reports, ensuring they are always learning and getting the most out of their roles.

About You

  • Proven track record of inspiring creativity
  • High degree of personal and professional familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube etc.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy with relevant experience helping to define and build brands
  • Held similar positions and managed social/content teams for the most innovative brands or news organisations
  • Experience working with large scale content, budgets and ability to work efficiently and effectively with them.
  • Strong creative skills
  • Fantastic leadership skills
  • Refined fashion sense and solid understanding of the 20 something customer
  • Passionate about social media, digital trends, and editorial
  • Driven self-starter, with an entrepreneurial mindset, who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical, and able to both learn from and utilise data to build strategy and tell stories
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative personality
  • Positive and team oriented
