Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR) exists to relieve the suffering of British wildlife, to encourage respect and tolerance for wildlife and to further its conservation. SWWR strives to do this by providing a public rescue, rehabilitation and release service for injured, sick and orphaned wildlife; through a learning and outreach programme, public education and access to a unique wildlife experience, by delivering conservation projects and by disseminating data and delivering professional training to improve knowledge and raise standards of wildlife care across the UK.
To assist in the management of Secret World’s social media platforms to promote our work, share our charitable goals and provide an income for the Charity. To be directly involved in the development of new content and research into new and emerging platforms.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To be directly involved in the collection of wildlife stories, imagery and video for sole use as publicity by the Charity.
2. To create content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience engagement and promotes audience presence across Secret World platforms.
3. Be able to confidently write and publish content with an educational message on the Charity’s social media platforms.
4. To foster a good working relationship with other departments to collect content.
5. Be able to confidently grow the Charity’s following on existing platforms.
6. To be actively involved with the wider education team and able to assist with educational workshops as required.
7. To support, guide, train, mentor and develop a small team of volunteers.
8. To undertake any other such duties as directed which may be appropriate in order to achieve the Charity’s objectives.
9. To review analytics to find ways to improve future content.
10. Promote the work of the Charity with local organisations and the press.
