Social Media Planner is responsible for development, implementing and stewarding the Dell local social media strategy. This role reports to the WPP SMH Global Content and Influencer Specialist and has interfacing with all cross-functional WPP SMH Global/ Local teams and other local partners.

The Role

The Social Media Planner is a very dynamic role, including strategy, content, community and influencer management, with a good understanding about channel plans, analytics and paid social.

The Social Strategist Planner must demonstrate a passion for social media and ability to leverage their deep understanding of the landscape into effective social media content, including real time/agile content, local opportunities/ special dates and influencers/creators’ partnership.

General Responsibilities:

Lead development and implementation of social content/editorial calendar, especially for Instagram Calendars including all touchpoint activation (Feed, Stories and Reels), developing a strategy full funnel integrated with Global campaigns (DCRs and DCVs), aligning across the region (EMEA) as well.

Oversee the best-in-class community engagement & monitoring for the Dell handles and other responding opportunities, coordinating the Community Manager work.

Since this is a regional role for EMEA, will lead the strategy for UK, France and Germany, based on client briefing and guidance. As a region, there are a lot of commonalities across and markets and a 20% of local needs. The CM of the local countries will help provide lessons learns, local insights and trends and cultural moments.

 

  • Monitor and report on trends and updates across the social media ecosystem to identify opportunities to engage around brand-relevant topics and key cultural moments, synthesize it into relevant agile contents, calendars opportunities and influencers briefs.
  • Develop creative briefs for TikTok/ Reels, identifying trends and work with creative teams and influencers to translate those trends into content opportunities
  • Serve as the day-to-day social contact for internal client teams.
  • Support the creative agency in developing the briefs and strategies taking care of the brand guidelines and social voice.
  • Collaborate with Social Insights and CM Analyst to inform performance-based reporting.
  • Collaborate with the paid social team to implement paid social initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the influencers agency to implement influencers initiatives.
